All prices are before tax. VoVi is not registered for GST in Canada, so no tax is added to your VoVi bill. Pay for 10 months. Get 12. All plans and features

Tax for your shop

GST is 5% federally. Ontario charges 13% HST; New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island 15%; Nova Scotia 14%. British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba add a provincial sales tax, and Québec adds 9.975% QST.
VoVi's Canadian set-up picks your province's taxes, and tax is added at the register, as Canadian shoppers expect.
Small suppliers with taxable sales up to C$30,000 over four quarters do not have to register for GST/HST. Cash totals round to the nearest 5 cents.

Payments

At the register: cash, card (on your own terminal), gift cards, store credit, split payments across two tenders, and layaway with a deposit.

Card payments run on the card terminal you already have, from your bank or payment provider, and you record each one in VoVi as a card sale. VoVi does not process card payments in Canada today. Interac debit and credit cards run on your own terminal and are recorded in VoVi as card sales.

VoVi Payments (integrated card processing) is coming soon in the US only. It is not available in Canada.

Questions from shops in Canada

Does VoVi handle HST, PST and QST?

Yes. Choose your province and VoVi sets GST, HST, PST or QST to match, and adds tax at the register.

Does VoVi take Interac?

Interac runs on your own terminal from your bank or provider. You record it in VoVi as a card sale. There is no direct Interac integration yet.

Is GST added to my VoVi subscription?

No. Prices are before tax, and VoVi is not registered for GST/HST today, so none is added.

Can my GST/HST number go on receipts?

Yes. It prints on every receipt once you enter it.

Is there a French version?

Yes. The VoVi app and our legal pages are available in French for Québec.
