What browser-based means
The register is delivered through the web rather than tied to one proprietary terminal. A supported browser loads the register, and the app can be saved to the device's home screen for quick opening.
What hardware you still need
You need a supported card reader for card payments. Barcode scanners generally work like keyboards, while receipt printing depends on what the device and browser can print to. VoVi does not claim a universal certified-hardware list; specific equipment is checked during onboarding.
Security on shared counters
A device cannot begin selling until an owner authorizes it. Individual sellers unlock the register with their own PIN, preserving attribution while allowing one counter device to serve a team.
The honest offline boundary
The product catalog can remain available through staged offline support, but card authorization always needs a connection to the payment network. Capabilities still in rollout are labelled as such rather than presented as fully shipped.
