Import products from Excel or CSV

In Products → Settings → Import products, upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file with a header row, up to 5 MB and 5,000 products. You can also choose Have a spreadsheet? Import it during setup. A CSV template is available in the import window. Old .xls files must first be saved as .xlsx or .csv.

Choose the location for starting quantities. Review the column mapping and preview, correct any mapping with the dropdowns and Apply mapping, and untick any rows you do not want. Errors cannot be imported. Repeated identical rows are skipped. Check your source prices and whether they include tax; prices are imported as shown. Keep barcodes as text to preserve leading zeros; scientific notation needs correction in the source file.

Click Import N products to save the selected rows. Existing products match by barcode, then SKU, and are skipped by default. Update existing products changes only supplied price and cost; quantities add to stock at the chosen location when inventory is enabled. The preview expires after 30 minutes. Cost changes require permission to see product costs.
